I have been working at Chase full-time for more than 10 years

Pros

Pay, multiple organizations under one 'roof', some opportunity for advancement.

Cons

As stated, management is not very connected even though they say they are trying. They do bus tours but only invite 'special' people to partake when they stop. Was a great place to work until the BankOne merger, then the culture changed for the worse.

I have been working at Chase full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Salary and benefits were great, which should be expected from the single largest bank in the country.

    Cons

Management is terrible. At the local level, I've never been more micro-managed in my life. Senior management is no better, and they show a complete disregard for Work-Life balance. The new mortgage origination system that is rolling out, MortgageExpress, is going to be horrible. No self-respecting Underwriter would ever want to work on it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Seek some input from the employees who actually do the jobs that customers see. All changes that come down from Senior Management make the daily job harder and slower, which impacts the customers directly. Small tweaks to the changes suggested by the employees that actually have to implement them could mean huge benefits to the customers.
