Pros

Brand recognition. Strength of the bank. Your job duties are very well defined. There aren't very many changes ever to your role.

Cons

Very hard sometimes to earn incentive even if you are blowing your goals out of the water. Based on profitability not production. Some aspects are out of your control

Advice to Management

Realize the vast differences in the markets that you are in. Not everything has to fit the model to make sense. Let your people have some decision making

    Pros

    The money is pretty good.

    Cons

The worst place to work, period. The work environment is utterly terrible and no person should put themselves in the situation of being an employee of Chase as a personal banker. There is a reason why 50% quit before 6 months and 80% before 1 year. You are pressured to no end to make people get products they do not need and will cost them financially. They are about making a dollar and screwing the customer.

    Advice to Management

Stop treating your employees like garbage because upper management puts pressure on you to do so. There is no reason to be terrible to your employees.

  2. A high tech nimble company open to change swallowed by a behemoth bank that "can't fail".

    Pros

Paymentech is (at least for now) a small nimble tech company that can change to the environment on a dime. Satisfactory overall compensation similar to other employers of the same size, passionate upper management.

    Cons

Being recently acquired by J.P. Morgan, the nimbleness and quick change to market conditions is changing to a bureaucratic, red tape filled entity. Paymentech had double digit returns before being acquired. I guarantee that will stop with the recent acquisition.

    Advice to Management

We must fight for Paymentech's autonomy although in the end we know J.P. Morgan will be calling the shots. It's a shame, Paymentech was a great company to work for.
