I have been working at Check Into Cash
Pros – Steady work flow. People are friendly. Promotions come when there are spots open. its really good if you like a weekly routine.
Cons – You receive 40 hour pay for 45 hours worked. You are given a salary based on 40 hours at your normal hourly rate of pay plus 5 hours at your half rate. They expect you to work the extra hours without the normal time and a half pay. The managers even come out and call it "Chinese overtime". Another con is that you can be fired at any time if you rock the boat. The Corporate handbook has a line in it basically saying "anything that is not in the companies best interest", this is vague and used often to get rid of people Corporate/ Higher Management doesn't like. If you are the "good ol' boys club" type, you'll fit right in.
Advice to Senior Management – You make a ton of money off the loans you give out, pay the workers fair wages for ALL hours worked.
