I worked at CheckFree full-time

Pros

People were great in the group. late shift pay difference.
Took good care of employees, cheap lunches, free pop machines, apperciation days

Cons

Not being able to say who you truly work for. Got old stating your bill pay service, the banks didn’t want you to state right away that they outsourced their online banking.

    Pros

Freedom and a relaxed corporate culture

    Cons

Not enough territory or leads to make quota

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need more lead generation. Reps do not have enough opportunities in most territories. Territory allocation is highly unbalanced so a few will always succeed and most will fail.

    Pros

Their products and services improve people's lives by enabling better financial management.
Most of the people are competent, caring, and respectful.
Beautiful campus with unusually good amenities for the Southeast.
Good business model and market share.

    Cons

Little to no chance for meaningful equity participation below the executive management level.
Limited equity upside given size and slowness of company relative to other options.
Now a part of Fiserv, an even larger and slower company based in Milwaukee.
Senior management tends to micromanage as if it is a much smaller company, limiting decisionmaking, innovation and risk taking.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get out of the way. Let people take more ownership and reward risk-taking behavior. Remember the customer in everything you do.
