I worked at Checkpoint Systems full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Was a global collective of small to mid sized, independent companies each with great Products, People, Services and loyal customers. These distinct but similar lines of businesses were merged into a single organization with excellent benefits.

    Cons

The centralized, global management team attempted to reduce operating costs by consolidation and standardization of of processes and systems across subsidiaries without fully understanding the magic and spark that made each line of business fun and profitable. The true visionaries quit in frustration. The remaining employees just accepted the new dullness, and hoped to avoid the next round of cuts.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Understand what made each line of business successful. Invest in what works. Eliminate what doesn't work. Restore a passion for the employees, products and customers. Stop cutting across the board. Be intentional and visionary.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
