Mostly good for experience, but management/pay/morale unacceptable

Former Employee - Process Specialist in Bellevue, WA

    I worked at ChemPoint.com full-time

    Pros

-Open culture, no blinds allowed on offices with floor-to-ceiling windows
-Fancy newer office (despite zebra-like carpeting) and nice computers/screens
-Learn a ton about logistics/analysis, reporting techniques
-They encourage feedback and want you to develop process improvements
    -Overall good resume builder job
-Awesome company parties (up to 4+ a year) with open bars and great locales (Space Needle, Snoqualmie falls, Seattle Aquarium, Newcastle Country Club, SAM)
    -Free food/drinks in the office
    -Medical/dental/401k matching benefits

    Cons

-Need for better management in Supply Chain. Multiple decisions were made without consulting the teams that would actually be doing the work that resulted in low morale, looooong hours, and multiple people quitting.
-Teams are overworked and putting in 50+ hour weeks.
-Very limited potential to advance (which is opposite what they tell you when you're hired). Stopped internal promotions on the Supply Chain team and began only using external hires. This led to low morale.
-The pay is horrible, to the point of embarrassing. When interviewing for another job, they asked what i was making and literally GASPED when i told them (honestly) after i described my job duties.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Overhaul supply chain management. Hire more people!

I have been working at ChemPoint.com

    Pros

You can come in with little to no business experience and learn a lot.
    Great benefits. Great environment.

    Cons

Pay is on the low end of the scale. Most teams are over-worked for the compensation. Lots of turnover.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Figure out a way to retain employees to decrease turnover
