Pros

Good salary and benefits. Good cultural mix, some team members are great to work with.

Cons

Clueless management team re:the federal market place. No BD personnel and Program Managers are not focused on clients' requirements.

  1. Typical small consulting company. You are hired for a position at a client and that client only

    Pros

There are some really good employees to work with and if they are on your team it can be a good work environment. The pay is good and the benefits are reasonable for a small company.

    Cons

Although there are several clients, there is almost no interaction across client project teams.
Its also a typical small business so expect some politics at the home office. The home office pretty much only cares about hours billed so expect to work on Federal holidays.

    Pros

Good entry level place to work to gain experience then leave.
    Benefits are good.

    Cons

    No career path.
    Too micro-managed
Upper management likes to blame employees instead of taking responsibility for problems.
Upper management team are all friends inside and outside work so there is a us and them feel to the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't preach work and family balance when it is only offered to a few employees. Stop blaming employees who leave for all the mistakes. Get focused and treat it less like a temporary help firm and more like a consulting company.
