    Pros

    Flexible 9/80 work schedule
Small enough company it's possible to have visibility with Senior Management early on
Big enough company jobs are secure
Multiple locations in the Houston area

    Cons

Number of "managed moves" limit advancement opportunities for other job - seeking employees
Some manufacturing sites have Union - management relationship issues

    Advice to Management

Move out mid level managers who are ineffective, don't just move them up! To the CEO- continue open communication with employees and maintain safety as #1 focus!

    Pros

Good base salary and excellent profit sharing.
Benefits seem commensurate with other chemical industry companies but not with oil company parents.
Employees are not discouraged from expanding job scope.

    Cons

Opportunities for advancement in US-based jobs seems minimal.
Staffing in most areas too lean.
Recognition for jobs well done are lacking.

    Advice to Management

There is a lot of focus on Operational Excellence, but it seems like it is more for show and tell than a way of doing business.
