I worked at Chevron as an intern (less than an year)

Pros

Emphasis on retirement and savings, safety is very very important to the people at Chevron. Every meeting starts with a safety moment.

Cons

Horrible for the environment, not great on your morals. Makes you wonder where the world is headed. Definitely a money-sucking giant corporation.

I have been working at Chevron full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

The organization is truly committed to a great set of corporate values, particularly around health, safety, and ethical business practices. They permeate every program and are embedded in the everyday culture of employees here.

    Cons

We have an interesting dynamic. Although it's rapidly changing business climate, and quick responses are needed, the high-dollar risks entailed mean we must use a complex decision evaluation and execution process, with huge amounts of collaboration. This can be frustrating to some who want more independence or speed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue your emphasis on supporting employee and leadership development.
