Pros

People oriented company that relies on their employees to make decisions. Plenty of room to advance and apply for jobs internally rather than look outside 9/80 work schedules with great bonus plan and annual salary raises. Ergonomics and people programs are real and not just someone going through the motions Tenants of Operation are part of everyday work and fully endorsed by management 1st class atmosphere to work in

Cons

CPDEP process can drag out projects. Normal big company standards and procedures

Advice to Management

Streamline project management and make tough decisions from the top down to help employees get the job done.

    Pros

Good culture, opportunities for advancement, generous benefits and pension, good work/life balance if you want it, very stable job

    Cons

Slow to change, follower - not a leader - in information technology, lots of unnecessary process and red tape, analysis by paralysis, not an IT innovator, difficult to attract highest qualified IT professionals due to slow pace and conservative outlook

    Advice to Management

If you always go for 80/20, you lose out differentiating your business by skipping the last 20%. Until the IT department ceases to be a cost center, we are service providers, so let's call it by its real name.
