I have been working at Chevron as a contractor for more than a year

    Pros

Learning all about the oil & gas industry.

    Cons

As one of the thousands of contractors Chevron hires, it's like working within an ocean of red-headed step children. Contractors are treated VERY differently from employees and creates uneasiness and tension. The flip side of being a contractor, however, is not having to go through the painful rigorous evaluation process and disciplinary process like employees do. Both sides has pros & cons. Although Chevron preaches the work/life balance, they also expect employees to work long hours and meet ridiculous deadlines. Makes absolutely no sense and not worth it.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
