I worked at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center full-time for more than a year

Pros

Getting to work with the patients.

Cons

Very poor management. I worked there for a couple of years and management fires good employees because they don't like them rather than basing decisions on actual work related reasons. I have seen good employees "black-balled" from other positions in the hospital because their boss want to keep them where they are. Bad management keeps bad employees and encourages mistreatment of the good employees - until they fire them for speaking up.

The title of my review was a direct quote made to me by several patients and family members of same.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Gain some maturity, professionalism, respect and ethics. You are there to help the patients, not use employees as puppets.

    Pros

    Nice people on the floors, decent facility

    Cons

    Senior management lives out of state (CEO lives in New Mexico/ other VPs live in Colorado) and has a poor opinion of Wyoming and her residents. Very unstable environment with HR demoting/firing people seemingly at random. Many people have either left or been let go over the last year, and these were often the managers who expressed concerns about how things were going in the organization.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Leave. Let people who care about the community actually take over.

    They pay well to get people to stay.

    Poor benefits
    Poor senior management
    Firings and layoff common
    Senior leaders don't care about line employees

    All of senior management needs to be replaced
