It's a good place for young engineers to groom their skills as an I&C engineer for about five years and then move on.

Houston, TX

Former Employee – worked at Chicago Bridge & Iron

ProsGood visibility
Greater responsibility
Flexible work hours
Good insurance benefits

ConsSenior management is still caught up in the tank building Business model. It cannot execute EPC projects. CBI has acquired a lot of smaller companies to boost their image in the EPC market but the synergies between the different units are not to be seen.

Advice to Senior ManagementGroom younger engineers in the "CBI" way of doing business. Investigate as to why younger Engineers are leaving CBI.
