I have been working at Chick-fil-A
Pros – Customers are given good service and people generally look at the company in a positive light.
Cons – My immediate supervisors don't speak English and they don't think they can give ever give people in the kitchen breaks because it's too busy. I don't know why they have me working in the kitchen. They didn't give me any hands on training. All I did was watch some videos about Truett Cathy and the company's Christian values and then they threw me into working. The two supervisors who don't speak English have barely said a word to me, so I just have to keep quiet and work like a slave to keep up with all these people because I need a job. This isn't my first job, but it's definitely the hardest and most stressful. I've managed people before and I thought that was stressful. If I knew how bad working here would be, I would've kept my last job. And I am getting my education, I don't plan on doing this for long. I applied here because I love Chick-fil-A's food, but they treat their employees horribly. They expect perfection for minimum wage.
Advice to Senior Management – Don't work people like slaves because this job doesn't pay. And I can see why you hire all the Mexicans for the kitchen. They're probably illegal and they'll work like slaves for you because they need work, but no normal person is going to bust their ass on a daily basis like that. One of my managers runs through the kitchen and back up to the front at least 100 times per day. It's so screwed up. I don't understand how y'all can get away with working people so hard. I see why you guys have such high turnover.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
