Former Employee - Cashier At Chick-fil-a in Atlanta, GA

I worked at Chick-fil-A part-time for more than a year

Pros

Wonderful positive work environment. Most customers are regulars who come there often so you get to see some familiar faces. Employees pretty much stay there for a while, so there isn't a revolving door of employees. And free food when you work isn't too bad either.

Cons

When they raised the prices slightly a lot of customers complained. People in fast food are overworked for low pay so you see a lot of attitudes, especially when people are stressed during the lunch and breakfast hours.
The frequent customers think they know more than you do sometimes since they come so often.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't scold employees in front of everyone. Everyone is a little stressed, you being rude doesn't help. Make sure all employees still have their Chickfila attitudes on even during the rush. That's when people seem to get the most testy.

I have been working at Chick-fil-A full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Each store is individually owned and operated so therefore each store is unique. The food is amazing and cooked fresh on site, so therefore the employees believe in the product that they serve. Depending on the store you choose there are areas to grow and develop, and plenty of ways to get involved with little side projects.

    Cons

This is not necessarily a con to me but can be for some people: this environment is extremely fast paced and you need to keep up with it. Some stores between 12-1PM can do anywhere from $1200-$2400 for lunch alone. To get to those numbers all cashiers, dining room crew, drive thru need to be fast and efficient.
