I have been working at Chick-fil-A full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Great foundation in Christian values, flexible scheduling, great customer base, low turnover.

Cons

Pay is lacking, GM and owner/operator temperamental, values on store level are NOT what Truett Cathy laid as foundation. Seems like the more money the store makes, the more greedy the owner gets. Instead of hiring more people or giving more hours to current employees, upper management is CUTTING hours of current employees. This makes for a very stressful shift.

    I worked at Chick-fil-A part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

sometimes fun, active, good résumé builder, decent atmosphere

    Cons

operators treat you like a slave, terrible hours, horrible pay, bad hiring process

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

hire better people, don't depend on low level workers to do your job . There is a clear desire to make money and this is put ahead of the interest of the employees. You can only make so much on the margins, but the operator was set on getting every last penny possible in order to get a higher salary.
