Chico's FAS – “An interesting place to work..”
Pros
I worked for Chico's during their period of explosive growth. The Chico's brand, at the time, had industry leading metrics with respect to sales/ sq. foot, etc.. Through the rapid expansion/growth, there was a lot of opportunity for professional advancement within the company. Everyday, new positions were being created and Chico's was, for the most part, good about promoting from within.
Cons
Along with rapid growth comes re-organization. Chico's underwent several internal restructurings where people's jobs, positions/titles and even physical locations were constantly in a state of flux. Compensation was fairly low, considering the significant cost of living increase the SW FL area experienced. The benefits were pretty average; nothing special for a billion dollar company. I keep in touch with former co-workers that are still with Chico's - their feedback has consistently become more and more negative as time wears on.
Advice to Senior Management
If Chico's is anything like it was when I worked their, any advice given to Senior Mgt. would fall on deaf ears....
