    Pros

Not much to say in this box, it is a distrusting company to work for , sometimes the discount program is good. Employees cannot really afford to buy the overpriced clothing!

    Cons

They mistreat employees - verbal abuse to Store mgrs everyday- DSM's are robots for the NSC - No organizational skills - No people skills - Hyper active with very little accomplished from DSM- they do not practice what they preach.

    Advice to Management

You need new people to fix the problems in Chico's. Get real about the business and not about making everyone be your robots in the store. People have personalities, let them be themselves while working with customers. No one needs a script, that is just ridiculous, you have your heads wrapped around the wrong issues. You should be concentrating on the merchandise and listening to your stores. Chico's just gives out orders and expects everyone to become what they want to be if you don't you are fired! No matter how good you are , you have to be like them. Get rid of the door counters, they are inaccurate results you people don't use them properly. You use them to your advantage to say customers were not being helped, that is BS. Just one more thing that stresses out the store, it isn't they way to do business. Chico's you just go waaaaaay overboard in lack of direction to the stores, you make the stores act like puppets. Not the way to run a blusiness.

    Pros

-Small boutique setting which is good if you don't like tons of customers.

    Cons

-Very strange cult-like environment. They repeat certain phrases over & over again, "We chose you", etc, the VP is considered a God of sorts, and they want everyone to act/look the exact same.
-Management will try and force you to buy the clothes although employee handbook says you do not have to and not disclosed during interview or in offer details.
-Management has no problem cutting hours of full-time employees by 10 hours, which completely alters yearly income.
-This company only likes employees who are timid and keep their mouths shut. If you dare speak out about their misbehaviors or complain about hours or any other issues they will force you out or fire you.
-If you're in you're 20's or 30's and into a totally different lifestyle other than being a housewife, wife, or mom, don't bother working here. This company is really for middle aged moms and grandmothers.

    Advice to Management

Stop using intimidation and lying as tactics to get your associates to do what you want. Be open to doing things different ways- especially if it yields better results!
