I have been working at Chico's FAS part-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

Ok. I have something good to say. If you are over 40, over 50, and even over 60 or 70, and present yourself well, Chico's will give you a chance. Of course, you need to be computer savvy, a multi-tasker par excellence, competitive, outgoing, energetic, physically fit, focused, willing to do grunt work, and willing to work abhorrent hours and all holidays, they will tolerate your beginner's mistakes and afford you the opportunity to ascend the learning curve--albeit it had better be rapidly. Yes, the pace is frenetic and there is plenty of non-commissionable work, but to have the opportunity--any MEANINGFUL opportunity--,at this age to acquire expertise is astonishing. If you can survive Chico's, I would venture to say that there is no retail environment in which you would not excel. They will give you the chance to be fabulous.

Cons

Many. But that's not the point, here

    I worked at Chico's FAS

    Pros

The commission was good, only if you are able to use your clientele wisely.

    Cons

Too much drama with the management always gossiping. The District Manager doesn't do her job either. Never gets anything done right. They keep brining in sales associates and they quit fast after they see the real issues within the store.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Act professional and act like real managers.
