I worked at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia as an intern (more than an year)

Pros

Working for CHOP is rewarding based on the mission of the hospital. It is flat out the best Children's Hospital in the world. I had an internship there and I loved it. I learned a lot and I would have gone back if I didn't get tied up with long term research at school.

Cons

It is often very tiring, which I was fine with most of them time, but sometimes you just want to sit on your ass, finish desk work, and drink coffee on a Friday. Sometimes difficult to have your voice heard as an intern

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Lectures, from grand rounds to guest researchers, were well-publicized and I greatly valued the flexibility to periodically attend these events. They were inspiring and a great opportunity to network with faculty at other campuses.
