Pros

You feel part of a team. From Mr. Choate to the guys in the field every one is approachable. Crew believe there is a only one way..."The Choate Way"

Cons

Some battling among divisions, Each region has it's on way of conducting business. Additional training would be nice before putting people in certain positions.

I worked at Choate Construction full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

I'm sure there is one, just struggling to find it.

    Cons

This is a male dominated environment; females are not respected or valued but rather considered expendable. I cannot speak for those in the field but the office staff is micromanaged and always under a black cloud of percieved insufficient performance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Realize that the project managers and superintendents you cherish could not possibly get their jobs done without the support from their staff. Respect, acknowledgement and monitary encouragement go a long way to improve morale.

    Negative Outlook
