I worked at Chrysler as an intern for less than a year

Pros

-Fast-paced, eager hardworking coworkers, lots of room to grow.
-Decent pay for interns.
-Feedback is helpful and communication is encouraged.

Cons

-Work/life balance is lacking due to old style management techniques that will undoubtedly push away new college grads.
-Still a lot of departmental restructuring across the company after collapse in 2009.
-They want a large intern group each summer but do not have enough spots for the interns who are high-potential.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on appealing to new college grads as more and more baby boomers retire.

I worked at Chrysler full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

I would love to administer the SAP simulation games at the World Class Academy. I am (one of 100 in the US?) certified to administer the games. For example, a game could be run with, say, 50 players throughout the world playing a role-playing Logistics game for 2 hours.

    Cons

I have no bad memories of my 8 years at Chrysler. I was a Detroit highschool dropout when Chrysler gave me a job that led to an automotive body drafting certificate from Chrysler institute of Engineering. I volunteered for the Army draft, and ended up with a PhD and 20 years teaching in universities.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It would be smart for Chrysler to let me set up the SAP simulation games at the World Class Academy. I have performed, taught, and managed simulations my entire adult life. Also, my son works at Chrysler Jefferson North.

    Pros

    Big Company lots of opportunities.

    Cons

Overworked. If long hours are not for you burning out is pretty easy.
