Pros

I would definitely say that working at CEC Entertainment was a funfilled entertaining environment. The different personalities you come in contact with on a daily basis is interesting to see. Most of all, the kids you saw come to CEC for years grow up and become teens when you remember them being much younger. In addition, the team members and how they have progressed, both personally and professionally.

Cons

Lack of compensation for what the job requires. Not enough accountability controls against those General Managers who do not take ownership of their business and pust it down onto the lower level managers, with hopes of picking up the slack. In my experiences, management has put "friendships" over business which comes a major problem in the working environment.

Advice to Management

Start valeuing your people more effectively. People are your greatest assett. If you cannot take care of your people, how can you expect them to take care of the guest (costomer)?

    Pros

none..... I can't believe how my energy and talent was disregarded

    Cons

HR process biased, not private, actively looking to get rid of higher paid mgr/staff for cheaper labor. Company no longer hires full time non managers, under orders to avoid tax and Benefit costs.

    Advice to Management

Company states that employees are greatest asset, completely wrong. Training is poor. Feedback from superiors is condescending, inappropriate and unwarranted. Direct of operations is primarily responsible, district managers are bullies. General manager are torn between hiring substandard staff, because pay is inadequate and overworked because customer service is not a true priority.
