CIBER NA (North America) a consulting body shop trying to figure out how to catch-up on offshoring.

I have been working at Ciber

    Pros

CIBER Base Pay and Hourly Rates seem fair. Mostly decent benefits. Good clients. Freedom to do things your own way, very little supervision.

    Cons

Not the place to be if you want a career. Very confused and confusing management that seems afraid to learn what's is and isn't working. So many hidden, unannounced changes of significance....

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Figure out how to market services. Hint: it's not a Silicon Valley product in a box. Executive management needs to focus on winning large multi-role, multi-year contracts, not eking another 1-2% on onesey-twosy staffing gigs. Don't chase every little thing, hunt the big game based on what you can win.
