Pros

The people. Excellent technical folks, very competent throughout the company. Great online training opportunities, pay for IT certifications and maintaining them. Average benefits.

Cons

Communication between divisions is almost non-existant. Commercial, State and Local, and Federal all in Atlanta, almost never talk or share amongst each other.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Better marketing, rather than just relying on word of mouth of good employees. Get serious in the Federal business, must have contract vehicles to compete with the big boys. Leverage business across the divisions, revenue is being passed up because of internal politics. State and Local division was purchased several years ago and is still not integrated hardly at all with the rest of the company.

    Pros

Ciber has great Consulting Managers that really care about their consultants and attempt to stay in touch with them to check on how they are doing when on assignment. The benefits are comparable to the industry and I feel that Ciber has competitive pay for it's consultants.

    Cons

When your assignment is about to end there is not enough communication with the consultant to advise where things stand with marketing your skills to find you a new contract and keep you off the bench. I have been fortunate to be working for a terrific group that has initiated a consistent long-term extension and has a good relationship with the Ciber Account Management team.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promote more internal training and development for consultants to continue to build bench-strength and develop their skillset.

    Pros

Great people. Take their projects seriously. Lots of out sourcing jobs to make a sale on. Other develop of S A P and lots of room to grow with custom apps in the market. Really nice people in the office. Most people have been there a long time which shows you soemthing in itself. Can require a lot of travel in order to make the job and to get resource.

    Cons

Long hours sometimes can make easy jobs hard.
