    Pros

Seen as a leader in Public Sector space for ERP with great referencable clients.

    Cons

Too much oversight from Corporate management at the project level by people that are not privy to actual industry trends.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Let the people that know ERP run the business and accept margins that are realistic for each industry vertical.

I worked at Ciber full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

There are some good people buried in there.

    Cons

The CEO stated in 2012 that over 60% of the companies work force would be replace by workers in eastern Europe and India which has included secretaries to Project Mgrs. Additionally the senior leadership recently indicated they do not want to hire American as they can make more profit on on H1 workers. To that end some Americans currently on the pay roll have been allowed to go to the unemployment lines once their contract was complete while the recruiting team paid to fly over workers from other countries. One of their recruiting practices is to lead you to be believe that while you are making less than industry standard you will be reevaluated after several months and paid more. This is 100% inaccurate which has directly lead to individuals quitting. Lastly workers were told by the HR Executive with the CEO standing directly next to him that as the consultants are the product by which the company makes its money we need to train to become more valuable. A worker in the room asked when the staff would have time to train as they were already working 50 hours a week and the HR Executive indicated that the workers would do this unpaid on their own time at home. Also they canceled the holiday party two years in a row.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Send all of your board and executives to a university business ethics course ASAP. Once complete have all of them live and work in a country that has never had the environment the USA provides for them to flourish in. Also institute core values which embody integrity, reward integrity as well as hard work, and discipline or remove those who create toxic work environments fueled by greed and selfishness.
