Health/Vision/Dental benefits and decent PTO apon hire

Cons

health benefits are not that great, and many people are dissatisfied with their jobs

Advice to ManagementAdvice

be more intune with your employees, as many times it is the employees that are not very good at their jobs that are promoted

    I have been working at Cigna full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Stable company with growing market share
    - Relatively good pay for position
    - Move toward greater customer centricity
    - Nice colleagues

    Cons

    - Though big internal marketing towards career development, most management positions are hired from outside .. seems easier to land a position for non-Cigna employee than get promoted from within
    - Metrics-based evaluations leave little room for management to look beyond the numbers to accurately assess one's value to company... reps who get rid of customer quickest are rewarded without any evaluation of the quality of the encounter

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    To improve customer experience, allow the cs reps time to completely address caller's concerns. Ditch the handle time metric and focus on customer satisfaction!
