I worked at Cigna full-time for more than a year

Pros

Job security, loyal customer base, good financials and stable.

Cons

Hard to make a difference, political at times, and slow to act and take advantage of market conditions and the global environment.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Decentralize and provide more autonomy at the local level to leaders. Appeal more to millenial candidates and those that do not meet a traditional profile.

    I have been working at Cigna full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

    I've been afforded a lot of opportunities and been able to maximize my potential at Cigna. Also, in my role I am able to have a flexible work schedule and work from home when necessary.

    Cons

    There are times that we have to work under pretty tight deadlines which translates into some late night work and a loss of the work/life balance. It doesn't happen all the time but can be tough when it does happen.

    Pros

    Ability to move up within company/role. Great benefits. Ability to work from home (depending on job role).

    Cons

    Bureaucracy makes changes take longer (then again, implementing change for such a large company takes time).

    There's always room for better organization. Keep emphasizing employees making suggestions for ways to be more efficient.
