The company is in the midst of restructuring. There are many changes taking place. Many people have been let go.

    I worked at Cincom full-time

    Pros

The people are friendly, the benefits are good. The work environment is clean and comfortable. You don't pay for parking.

    Cons

There was no training and when the company decided to restructure, my position, along with those of many others, was eliminated.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It is difficult for the employee as well as the company to prosper when there is a lack of training.
Training new or repositioned employees would be very beneficial.

Flexible Employee Schedules, Stagnant Family-Dominated Business Model

I worked at Cincom full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Cincom appreciates that smart people don't need to be micromanaged
    - Cincom is open to flexible work schedules, including, part-time and telecommute options
    - Cincom offers reasonable, competitive pay (for the area)
    - Cincom medical benefits are typical and competitive
    - Cincom has a beautiful world headquarters building in Cincinnati, OH

    Cons

    - Cincom is a family-dominated company. As such, unqualified people often hold top positions. Nepotism, in my opinion, has contributed to the steady decline of the company. Employees are constantly reminded (by leadership) of the bleak future of the business. This undermines productivity and employee satisfaction. Plus, some employees (mainly the actual producers) are forced to endure a reduced work week (and pay) in order to avoid job loss. Morale is low and has been for a long time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Elderly is a state of mind. But, in this case, the leadership of Cincom has become truly outdated, lacking in vision and ultimately irrelevant in the industry. Replace owner-leadership with competent, energized leaders who may be able to turn the company around before it's too late.
