I worked at Circuit City part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

As a young employee, I received discounts on many items within the store. The other hourly employees were friendly and the environment within the store comfortable

    Cons

Store management turnover was high. The management practices were authoritarian and disrespectful. I realize that this is one example from one store several years ago. Make your own decision if you find an open store

I worked at Circuit City full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Easy job, good hours, some unique characters. A learning experience

    Cons

Ah my 4 months at circuit city. I was hired to be the team lead of the Product Flow Team. Basically it was an assistant inventory/stocking/warehouse manager. My direct boss was not too bright. He interviewed me 3 times. Each time he asked the same exact questions. On the 3rd time I finally just looked at him and said "are you going to hire me or not?". The pay was abysmal. It was 7 bucks an hour. I had a team of two 18 year old stoners who I had to make sure put out the inventory at night, shipped back damaged goods, and redid sales tags. I just made sure they did it and surfed the internet in the warehouse. Employees and customers stole like it was going out of style. The car stereo guys were all ex cons and rude. It was a bizarre place to work. I got a real job after only 4 months and CC went out of business 5 months later. Wonder why?
