A very great place to work, it feels like a company that cares even though it is a large company

Pros

An excellent yearly review system that results in an impressive bonus. Management is accesible and each year you have an opportunity to have a lunch with the CEO (and many others with the same birthday of the month) and ask him a question if you want to. Egronimic services are available to customize your desk if that is what you need.

Cons

there could be more effort to compete with the tech start ups in providing a more interesting workplace. The offices are a bit drab.

    Pros

World-class company, lots of talented people. Lots of great training and help for employees. Company respects individuals.

    Cons

Epic battles between SVPs frustrate alignment and good ideas.

    Advice to Management

Structure for alignment at the SVP level. SVPs that play politics should be removed.

Poor company only interested in short term gains at the expense of emplyees.

    Pros

4 weeks of vacation, remote working for some individuals.

    Cons

Dog eat dog company. If you are not living in San Jose, you will never get anywhere. They are good at spreading the propoganda stating they are such a good company, and love their employees so much, but reality is your just a lackey of your superiors. Huge egos within the company must be constantly fed, regardless of who is harmed by thier ambition. Increases in company revenue is driven by constant aquisitions, not organic growth, which is one reason why the stock is way off, and the company fell out of favor on Wall Street. If you are not willing to advance at all costs, this place is not for you.

    Advice to Management

John, how about going 1 year without an aquisition, and lets see how your revenue trends.
