I have been working at Cisco Systems full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Stability and compensations are pretty good. Plenty of resources.

    Cons

Employee evaluation is based on how good s/he writes or tells to the manager, and her/his peers tell to the manager. Social networking and politics are almost a must to survive, Rating system encourage back-stabbing among peers, and turf guarding.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More effort in knowing each individual contribution. Less turf guarding. Probably replace/compliment individual based rating with team based ratings.

    Neutral Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
