“Laid back environment with drawbacks”
Current Employee – been working at Cisco Systems full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Good Benefits (health insurance, 401K matching up to 4.5%, ESPP)
Work/life balance
Flexible hours and ability to work from home as desired
Sometimes generous CAP rewards (both cash and restricted stock options)
Cons – Not a very diverse SWE employee base
Not a terribly thrilling work environment
Equity has questionable worth
Too much politics involved in performance reviews and promotions
Have not been very pleased with compenastion
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
