    Pros

Some of the brightest people I've worked with, informal yet fast paced culture, best in the industry

    Cons

Typical cons of working for a large corporation apply here; distributed teams are convenient but can be a drawback

I worked at Cisco Systems full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

You work with amazing people everyday. How in tune you are with the organization's vision and the effort you put forth to contribute to that vision could reap benefits that go beyond recognition. You are encouraged to participate in job rotations every 2 years or so to expand knowledge and exposure. You are expected to attend 40 hours of training yearly. Part of that training could be giving the training.

    Cons

Some team leads and managers manage remotely. This is a relatively new model but the change is good. It can be somewhat of a challenge to be visible but it stretches the individual's resourcefulness to make it possible.

    Advice to Management

Managing teams remotely is relatively new for Capital. Encourage the use of the video cameras when communicating. It helps develop a connection.
