I worked at Cisco Systems as an intern

Pros

There are a plenty of opportunities to learn about Networking and work on their certifications. The working environment is very friendly.

Cons

As a CALO Co-op, I did not have any problem. But, as a TAC Inter I faced problems while dealing with different types of customer.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Should have more training on how to deal with different types of customers.

I have been working at Cisco Systems full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Lots of change. In my 15 years, I've never been bored. The admin community is strong, and there are plenty of opportunities to enhance your career.

    Cons

Lots of change. New technology doesn't always scale properly and there are bugs to work through, causing a lot of frustration in getting your job done. Some processes take too many steps to complete. Politics come and go, although I'm sure that's the same with any other company. Hiring admins thru agencies (budget purposes) makes it challenging for FTEs to find a new position.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stay in touch with your workforce.
