I have been working at Cisco Systems full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Cutting edge technology, great teammates, involved management, and opportunities to advance in career. You can get as much out of working here as you are willing to invest into it and there are many people to connect with along the way.

    Cons

The company tries to measure everything, and I mean everything that you do. Some things are not quantifiable but that does not stop Cisco from trying. Some of it brings value and insight but some of it seems futile and redundant.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to be agile, continue to identify and reward top contributors, try to improve talent retention by aligning salary and bonus with contribution and ability.

I have been working at Cisco Systems as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

The access to equipment is fantastic, and there are smart people all over the place that you can learn from. I was able to work with very expensive equipment that I would never have gotten a chance to touch at other companies. It is a great way to learn and study for certification exams.

    Cons

Some of the bureaucracy gets annoying at times, and some of the tasks done during the internship were a bit tedious
