The opportunities for promotion are almost nil. Its not uncommon for people stay in the same position for 5, 10, 12 years. Thats fine if your not looking for advancement or additional responsibilty but it seems there are a lot of qualified people who are passed over or not recognized for managerial positions. All I have seen are people brought in from the outside who dont know the "culture" and are causing the culture to be dissolved into mediocrity.
