    Pros

Pay was ok for a while!

    Cons

All based on managing people below you to work their asses off
Only interested in young Yes men
Anyone with good innovative ideas is "moved on"
Stock price is very poor but the market are correct. This is a stagnant company!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop fooling each other that cIsco is a great place to work.
Get rid of the middle layer of brown noses who do very little work except manage their own career.
Total revamp required from the top down!

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Cisco Systems full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Great place to work, A large corporate with very good benefits.

    Cons

Small cog in a big machine - middle management are under motivated and over payed. Thus lack the dedication required to support your personal career growth. The work life balance doesn't exsist for many, but this is compounded by the fact that others in the same teams and roles get away with doing very little, and it is never picked up by management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Discussions with management end with management telling what they think you want to hear and then do nothing to back it up over the next cycle. Move middle management around - especially in the support roles.

    Recommends
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
