    Pros

Good team to work with. A variety of facilities for employees.

    Cons

Assignment of tasks is as per experience on paper. Its so big that sometimes the individual, the engineer feels lost, not acknowledged for his effort. Salaries are not competitive with other companies at the same level. True, the facilities available for employees are good but not everyone asks for them, uses them. The management ladder is complex, unnecessarily complex. Does not add value to productivity Lot of meetings

Disappointing environment if you actually care to impact change. You're merely an email address & voice on the phone.

I worked at Cisco Systems as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Based on the number of people who work there, you're bound to make new friends. - If you're full time (i.e. not contract) there are some nice benefits.

    Cons

    - You're merely an email address & voice on the phone. - If you're not an engineer or programmer, and wish to actually play an active or relevant role, look elsewhere. Instead, prepare to be caught in a constant vicious and pointless cycle of bureaucracy, egos, meetings-for-the-sake-meetings, internal dysfunction, and BS.

    Advice to Management

Spend less of your time trying to prove your value through talk, talk, talk, and show it to your employees via caring actions.
