Pros

Even though financial conditions are tough, people at Cisco seem to maintain a sunny outlook. It's not perfect, but there are many, many worse places to work. Compensation is not bad and the move to RSUs instead of options means that at least they are worth something.

Cons

Long hours, extensive travel....sales dominates (have a good quarter and you are a hero...even if you treat people like dirt). Can result in a macho culture

Advice to Senior Management

Focus more on the long term...less emphasis on and reward for the current quarter.

A bunch of lies.
RSU are for managers and "exceptional performing individuals".
Given the broken and unfair performance review system, you can forget about RSU.

I don't know where you work, but I've been with the company for 10 years, it's been going down hill since 2001. Morale sucks!. Only ones who are really happy are the managers and of course the senior leadership since they all got big raises for doing nothing. When the economy picks up Cisco is dead, cause there will be a mass exit towards the door.
