Cisco Systems Anonymous in Richardson, TX:   (Current Employee)

Pros

The salary and benefits are good. Fellow employees are for the most part nice and helpful. There is some recognition for working at Cisco.

Cons

Management is slow and goals are vague or inconsistent. Evaluations are subjective and career advancement is not great. Not much recognition for the work you do. Cisco culture is political. Also, they only play Fox News on the TVs at the cafeteria. That news broadcast is way too opinionated, political, and annoying.

Advice to Senior Management

Getting back free soft drinks would be nice. Please stop playing Fox News at the cafeteria. Recognize talent and hard work or allow more opportunities for advancement.

You know what's more annoying than Fox News? Jim Cramer on CNBC. He's on all the time in our break room. Whiskey Haines had to shut off his Wild turkey IV when listening to Chambers...."the worst recession in generations is over in 8 months ???...."yepp.we are hitting on all cylinders...Our suppliers are going broke and have no business but we are rocking and rolling like it's 2000..." Chambers is such a f*cking moron.

Yup, it's ok for a few years. But after that, it will be a living hell just to walk in the door in morning.
