Pros

You work for yourself and have no ceiling over the amount of money that can be made. You have a lot of support and the most listings in the city.

Cons

The market can eat you up if you are not persistent and tend to slack which is very easy. You will lose your desk if you do not produce.

I worked at Citi Habitats full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

They offer a lot of training, seemed very professional which is why I joined. l had some great managers who were always willing to return calls; answer questions 24/7 or at least a text, email. They wanted you to succeed - but they have all left Citi Habitats.

    Cons

If you don't already have rich friends or rich parents with rich friends it's a very hard job. Clients treat you worse then shoe salesman on the 5th Floor of Macy's Herald Square.

Renters and buyers aren't loyal and with Citi Habitats on your card you lose sales exclusives to other brands even though there's zero difference since you're delivering the results. Used to have a lot of locations that you could stop in anywhere but those have gone away

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You lost a good market opportunity by not opening a Brooklyn office or at least partnering with a micro-location within a Corcoran back office etc.

I have been working at Citi Habitats as a contractor (less than a year)

    Pros

A truly professional company, with an attention to important details and patient enough to follow things thru to the end. A culture of success and specificity on the NYC market.

    Cons

Very concerned with their own brand, which can muffle the success of your own brand development.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It is the 21st Century... we need 21st Century Tools.
