If there aren't any other alternatives, at least its a job

Sales and Service Representative (Former Employee)
Jacksonville, FL

ProsCiti has superior insurance, including dental and vision. The facility is well kept and inexpensive daycare is available as well as a gym, post office, and medical center. There are family movie night in the cafeteria and various weekend events throughout the year.

ConsPay for sales and service representatives is $11.60 per hour. The "bonus" you hear about in training is almost unattainable because of the complexity of the bonus calculation formula. Managers want perfect customer satisfaction surveys but encourage high pressure sales techniques. Everyday you hear about talk time, offer rates and sales results. Don't expect any respect from your managers or the people you talk to on the phone.

Advice to Senior ManagementForget about forcing services down your client's throat and concentrate on superior customer service and your NPS scores will be better.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

What started out as good went to bad very quickly and didn't get any better.

Inbound Collections Representative II (Former Employee)
    Boise, ID

I worked at Citi full-time for more than 3 years

Pros: Getting to help people out of their problems when I was allowed… Cons: They just cared about the bottom line even while they were preaching that all they cared… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company… More

    Worst. Job. Ever.

    Personal Banker (Current Employee)
    San Antonio, TX

I have been working at Citi full-time for less than a year

Pros: Met great people who became lifelong friends in my training… Cons: Pay rate, (terrible) starting out with 11.75 hourly. Disorganized. Unethical at times. A ton of technical issues… Advice to Senior Management: Become more organized. Pay employees better. Starting pay should be a minimum of at least $13.50… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company… More
