I worked at Citi full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

Global reach, Excellent learning environment and growth opportunities

Cons

Company appears to be unable to recover from the state of the economy and its effect on the financial services industry. Although there are growth opportunities the culture can be cut throat and you must aggressively pursue advancement. This is not an environment for the faint hearted.

I have been working at Citi full-time

    Pros

Company offers good benefits to employees, has a flexible work program, and employee networks. Globality offers much opportunity for motivated employees.

    Cons

Because the company is so large, it's hard to get some things done - cohesiveness isn't as strong as it should be. Company morale is slipping to an all time because the focus is on the stock prices and not raises. Expense management is the focus, but money continually is wasted on needless process and superferlous processes.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do what you say and say what you mean! AND mean something - stand for something. Strive for consistency. Employees in non-revenue generated businesses shouldn't be penalized when it comes to increases. Remeber morale is important to success for ALL OF US, including the stockholder.
