Pros

Given good manager nice work/life balance

Cons

No values for technology. No desire to improve technology. Mediocre people in IT. Warren office looks and feels like couple of offices brought straight from India.

Good place to work in the past; now can't decide on a direction

I worked at Citi full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

On average with salaries, a lot of opportunities to grow. My division promoted getting training. Many good people who will help you if you ask.

    Cons

Reorganizations every six months or so. Management doesn't really care about staff and most are not honest about upcoming cuts, etc.. Outside management has been brought in and existing staff not thought of as being competent.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Choose a direction and stay the course over six months.

I have been working at Citi full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Health insurance used to be amazing. With the new CEO, things have gone downhill. The culture is great, if you are part of a group. There are fundraisers for the community, pot lucks, and bake sales constantly. The break rooms are full of coffee and vending machines offering anything you can imagine.

    Cons

They are constantly restructuring the company. They expect people to do the jobs of 3 people. Some of the higher level management is completely clueless. Others are brilliant. You have to hope that you get a good one, or your work life could be awful. There is a lot of favoritism within the company. They promote meritocracy, but employees never see it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat the people that provide your data with respect. Show them that the data is important and it couldn't be done without them.
