I worked at Citi

Pros

Good mix of people, and good focus on the health & safety of the work place.

Cons

Fairness is not something one can expect in banking, sadly it would be the same case in Citigroup too.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Not making " listening to your employees" as a slogan, but really act on this.

    I worked at Citi

    Pros

Citigroup is one of the largest banks in the world, it is a top tier I B, and contains great talent

    Cons

Because it is so big and complex, there are some Organisational issues as well as coordination problems that sometimes make it frustrating

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on competitive advantage (eg. M&A, Corp Bank), possible re-divide legacy IB with legacy CB in order to fully exploit potential

  2.

Good company to work for, with very good opportunities, but sometime daunted by its own internal political problems.

I have been working at Citi

    Pros

Big company with a number of internal opportunity; also a company able to trade in large sizes and therefore with the possibility to trade any type of instrument. Mostly friendly attitude and balanced life/work environment.

    Cons

A company currently in search of directions, and unclear who is steering it (whether the US government or the CEO).

A lot of red tapes and inefficient comunication between the business and the infinitely many IT (sub)systems.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Cut down on spin and motivation speaches and accept the difficult time the company is having.
Do something to reduce the empire building activities, expecially in IT.

    Approves of CEO
