I have been working at Citi

    Pros

    Constant changing environment, innovative thinking.

Flexible work locations, flexible work schedules.

Titles in line with job roles.

    Cons

100% adherence to policy moments after discussion on subject for first time.

Too many managers and not enough employees. Favoritism. Inappropriate feedback and lack of meaningful constructive criticism

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Help provide a career path. Ensure more face to face interaction with managers located in different sites.

I worked at Citi full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

You'll have great opportunities after you leave and some opportunities to advance if you stay. Work can be intense but interesting. You are able to have a decent amount of exposure to senior people, although a lot of that might end up happening when you are being scolded.

    Cons

Every director thinks their work is the most important and Citi would crumble and fall without them, so managing egos is a skill everyone will gain. Hours can be long but that is expected, and everyone is very siloed into their role.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Remember, you were once in your analyst's shoes. Don't treat them like you were treated.
