I have been working at Citi

    Pros

Some of the best reasons to work at Citigroup are the benefits, the peers you work with on a daily basis and the flexible work environment.

    Cons

Citigroup uses the Forced Ranking process to conduct year end performance reviews. If you work with a high performing group of professionals, this can be very demoralizing and counterintuitive to getting good performance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Trust who you have hired to do the right thing. Guide them as they learn rather than punish and micro manage projects.

I have been working at Citi

    Pros

Provides great flexibilty with working from home options and good vacation/benefits provided. It truly assists to be more balanced with your personal/home life with work. One big plus to work here especially if you are starting a family.

    Cons

    Slow progression in upward mobility
Salary is not competitive to market value
Minimal training or employee education encouragement until late this year
    Favoritism
    Minimal attention from senior management
Employee survey - minimal participation for improvements
Set deadlines all the time without understanding the change that it will bring and how it can be delivered without breaking what is already working properly. Lessons learned from past need to be applied to all processes.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Focus more on employee development/culture
