Current Employee - Management Associate in Long Island City, NY

Pros

In a nutshell, this organization, in spite of the economic environment, has one of the best corporate cultures in the industry.

Cons

On the downside, at least in Retail Bank business, there seems to be a tendency for management turnover at the senior level.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

If I were to offer any advise to the senior leadership, it would be to continue to foster the growth and continued development of internal employees.

Miserable, cant get much worse but senior mgmt strives to make each day worse than the prior one.

Current Employee - Branch Manager in East Nassau, NY

    Pros

Rewards can be good if you are in the top 5%

    Cons

Not enough time to do what is asked of you, goals are unrealistic, and mgmt tells you every day if you cant do the job, let them know so they can find somebody else to do it. New mgmt philosophy is to manage by fear, produce or else. Rolled out a campaign to focus on improving service scores, then fire all the service managers a few months later- Stay far far away from this company

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I see an undercover boss episode here, mangement has no clue the stress employees are under

    Pros

knowledgeable co-workers, brand-name (at least it used to be), benefits

    Cons

no work-life balance, management doesn't seem to care much about its employees anymore, people doing the same job compensated unevenly, favoritism exist

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

listen to your employees, really listen, promote based on the hard work not based on buddy-relationships, increase pay and bonus based on hard work, not politics

    No opinion of CEO
