I worked at Citibank as an intern (less than an year)

Pros

This is a really good working environment. My supervisor and other senior managers are really friendly and open for innovative ideas even though I am just an intern. They are helpful and willing to spend a lot of time to develop my knowledge about the company business.

Cons

The pace of the software development is quite slow since I have to go through many round of complicated approvals.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Speed up the paper process.

    I have been working at Citibank as a contractor (more than an year)

    Pros

    - Great remuneration package and benefits.
    - The infrastructure and tools provided for you to assist your job is top class.

    Cons

    - Workload is sometimes overwhelming
    - Very competitive environment
    - Weak matrix makes it harder to get buy in from the technical guys as they report to their line managers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    There isn't a clear and defined process on how it is to run projects at Citi. And the different streams that we need to deal with can sometimes be very confusing.

    I have been working at Citibank full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    It's a desk job and does not require physical labor.

    Cons

    The company treats you as just another dispensable resource.
    You will talk to on average around 40 people per day.
    Dealing with unhappy customers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Treat your employees as though they are valuable. Also, give your employees a voice and take action on the employees concerns and issues.
